• The parents flee the country on tax and fraud charges, and there's no asset seizure of the mansion or the kids accounts.
  • It seems law enforcement is keeping an eye on the mansion. It may be that they're hoping the parents might come back for something or their kids, and they might then arrest them.
  • Alternatively, it seems to have only been a short time since the show's beginning; it may be that the mansion being seized is still coming down the pipeline.
  • It's hand waved in a later episode. The government seized most of the assets with the exception of the mansion and a few bank accounts. The money is sufficient to keep everyone living lavishly for a bit more. The accountant advises that Mickey and the kids cut down on expenses but he is promptly ignored.
• What did Omicron actually do to the neighbour?
  • You might believe that he went to her house to take the blame for the guest house burning down. But with the knowledge that he is soon dead, his statement that he would kill for Ben, the scream from the neighbour and that we never see her again might put this in a very dark context.
