Why didn't David wear sweaters or something similar that would stretch instead of being torn to shreds?

     Gamma radiation leak
  • In the episode "Prometheus", if there is enough gamma radiation being emitted by the meteor to keep Banner perpetually stuck between forms, why isn't it having any effect on anyone else, and why aren't radiation detectors going off to alert people to the high concentration of radiation in the Prometheus facility?
    • In the 70's, the effects of radiation were still not well understood. In addition, The Hulk is more sensitive to gamma radiation than normal humans.

     Whither 911?
  • In the episode "Never Give A Trucker An Even Break", why did David mess around with calling the operator and directory assistance while trying to get a hold of the police, when he could have just called 911?
    • This was in 1978, and 911 was not in common use at the time. By 1979, only 29% of the US population could dial 911, and they were in the more populous cities. Time Marches On

     Who did it?
The settings on the machine that David used to give himself the "accidental overdose of gamma radiation" were altered by somebody who didn't notify anybody and didn't leave a record in a log that I would expect to be at the site of the device. They reasons for altering the settings so that it's not immediately obvious from the preliminary inspection that David would have done is anybody's guess. This careless person was never identified.
  • In the scene in the Pilot where Elaina is giving David some supplies before he locks himself in the pressure chamber, Elaina tells David that it was Ben (a co-worker of theirs who pops up occasionally in the pilot episode) who changed the settings and hadn't yet measured the maximum amount of radiation nor marked the tape before David injected himself with the gamma.
