• Would the police really have believed Jim was completely innocent just because Ryder shows up? Sure, they catch Ryder very red handed, but that hardly means Jim isn’t involved in any of the murders. They know little about Jim and zilch about Ryder. The audience knows what’s up, but from the police point of view, these two guys appear out of the blue at the same time in the midst of a murder spree and appear to have a rather deep relationship.
• Meta: This was a major production with big stars of the day, Hauer and Howell, has a sequel and a remake, yet the only streaming version is a 4x3 pan and scan.
