• Why is it treated like the women in the Lamborghini actually won the race? Everyone received a time card which was punched at the beginning and the end. The started at different times. The winner was supposed to be the team with the best time. Finishing first doesn't mean your time is necessarily better than another. This would only be automatic if they'd been the last team to start the race.
  • Well, there was that huge roadblock that prevented what appeared to be all the remaining drivers from proceeding. The delay seemed considerable- possibly so long that whomever was in charge of running the race somehow got wind of it, and opted to officially renew the race from that point, so all the remaining drivers started at the same restarted time?
    • It seems extremely unlikely that anyone reset the race (they would have had to have been in wherever the road block was) or that the roadblock was that long. Just enough to collect all the cars (who were near each other) into the same place. The team that won the race was the one that still had the best elapsed time and JJ being mad at Victor because he lost the race was because he lost the card in the water IIRC. The movie was silly enough by the end and practically broke the fourth wall that I don't think anyone cared (if you rewatch the scene, no one was declared a winner and no one really cared, they were all in a celebratory mood).

• The mother spent $8,000 on orthodontia work for her son Seymour to look like Roger Moore? I thought she didn't like him doing this. Also, how is orthodontic work going to make someone look like Roger Moore?

• Why didn't the Japanese car blow every other car away if it had all that technology?
  • Because they weren't very good drivers, and, being from Japan, weren't familiar with American roads. Also. Jackie Chan was trying top watch porn while driving.
