Headscratchers Subpages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned.
The game's lore appears deeper than its art style.

     Time
  • According to the game's backstory, the Earlist year ever mentioned was SHOWA-0055, when kids were born. In SHOWA-1053, Blue team formed according to the Apocalyptic Log found in the Arctic Area lab. Moreover, the Golden Ending's epilogue says ''YYYY AD''!
  • According to the Sole Survivor's account, SHOWA-1056 March 05 the day of calamity was a Monday.
     An Implied Gaias Revenge?
Humans could not stand any trash on Earth, even the alternative risks End of the World as We Know It. Godzilla Threshold Implied?
Mana Meter and Mana Potion - Artistic License - Engineering
  • How Battery Packs (that replenish CR-999's energy meter instantly) were made was never explained. The word "Sunlight-Powered" in the item's name or description doesn't help, because that means generating power from the Sunlight's energy, which fits CR-999 but not disposable Battery Packs. To make things worse, CR-999's energy source got named ''Battery'', but it improves recharging efficiency greatly whenever upgraded, don't seem to be the right stuff American or Commonwealth refers to. Probably more appropriate to be called "Generator", "Solar Panel" or "Converter". Perhaps it is "Blind Idiot" Translation to blame.
Where did all the Garbage go?
  • The drill is meant to break down something into smaller pieces, so the garbage has to go somewhere eventually. Where is it?
    • Look at the Rubble counter closely, each time your energy is used, it increases. So CR-999 turned garbage into recycled resources and baled them.
Had the warmongering corporation not interfered, Blue Team's guaranteed to win the bid.
     Not just cleaning?
  • In the beginning, CR-999 was just digging garbage, then he helped people rebuilding civilization, where he had to gather resources and excavate artifacts. And later, he shipped goods across the continent. He turned carcass, animal skeletons and even lava into resources. All by a cleaning robot?
If all the garbage had to be hauled back to the base for recycling, he seemed to need a dumper truck or something. He sometimes had to deliver running vehicles in large batches, which seems to require large road transport vehicles, but it is not implied he can drive, and it's inferred he didn't see grown-ups in person regularly.
     Goods Confusion
  • From the player's prospect, CR-999 manufactures a wild array of stuff and distribute them to townsmen all over the continent. But they are named Specialty, which is supposed to be something made in a particular place.
     All Humans killed?
  • Were all human beings bound to Earth by the time calamity strikes? They had an evacuation spaceship from another planet. And aliens could move to Earth.
Won't it take more than a fighter jet to raze the USA in a week?
A Fifth the Robot She Used to Be
  • Kinda Fridge Logic. Is there a way a fighter jet can split and has its largest pieces scatter across the US natually (or by accident, for the best effect)?
Human MEANT to End the world?

A continuation to WALL•E?

Consider it a Japanese equivalent to WALL•E, for every Headscratcher WALL•E had thrown at the viewers, did Game On provide an answer (or at least attempt to)?
How plants grow in confined spaces?
Evaded. CR-999 just relocated the trash, and they grew in the land no longer occupied.
