- Why does Ted start his education in high school? The show even states that he is only eight years old in 1993. Shouldn't he be starting his education in kindergarten or first or second grade? (How funny would THAT be?)
I assume that it's because he acts older than a young child. Plus the fact that they're aware of how attached he and John are and decided to have them go to school together. Also, John's wish was that he wishes that Ted was alive so that they can be friends forever. I assume the wish automatically made it that mentally, he's the same age as John, which would explain why acts older than he is mentally here.
