• What exactly became of Timothy at the end of this Episode?
  • It's estabished he is already an orphan, thus under Federation Law needs to be under a Guardian or any remaining Living Relative under their care; but that last scene with Data only provides Timothy's resolution towards the Traumatic Loss of his Parents but never addresses what will become of him.
  • Will he be staying aboard the Enterprise? Children are by no means less welcome provided they are well-tended and cared for by their Parents or Guardian but one cannot be sure that Timothy would ever manage on his own. Data has never said on record that he would adopt him as his ward (doubtful Androids are capable of such.) and it would honestly seem out-of-place for Timothy to even consider such decision.
  • The best bet is that he would either be brought to the nearest Starbase then be sent back to Earth or any of its Colonies from where the Starship Vico originated and start anew.
