• Why did Mr. Krabs even want SpongeBob to be in the commercial if he wasn't even going to give SpongeBob any lines or show his face on camera?
  • Probably there's a corporate policy on diversity that requires sponges get their fair share of screen time as crabs, squids and whales.
  • We didn't see how Mr. Krabs' shooting for the commercial went. Maybe Spongebob messed up so many takes that Krabs cut his larger role out.
  • Mr. Krabs made Squidward the director. Given that Squidward had Spongebob bury himself, he probably insisted that Spongebob have as little screen time as possible.

• How did Mr. Krabs' version of the Krusty Krab commercial not throw away any money? There had to have been some expenses with the smoke effect, the scene-shifting, and the words appearing over the Krusty Krab.

• While most of the moments leading up to SpongeBob's inflated ego were the result of misconceptions or him not letting other people finish their train of thought, how did he misconstrue Fred's clear request for a napkin as a request for an autograph?
  • He just thought Fred meant something to write an autograph on.

• How could Squidward have taken Mr. Krabs' dime (if you can even call it that)? It was half his size, therefore, it couldn't have possibly fit inside the register. Also, it dislodged a few floorboards when it landed, so due to its weight, Squidward most likely wouldn't be able to so much as move the "dime", let alone steal it.
  • Hammerspace. It was able to fit in Mr. Krabs' own pockets, wasn't it?
