White Flammie ≠ Mana Beast?
When you arrive at the Great Forest for the first time, you will see a dark purple Flammie darting across the screen in a horizontal path. And when you go to Karakka Desert, the dark purple Flammie appears again as if it is following the party. Note that this happens long before Randi and his friends go to Matango to find the White Flammie. So if there are two distinctly different Flammies, then the White Flammie is not the Mana Beast. Instead the dark purple Flammie that is seen earlier is the Mana Beast in an immature form. But why was it following the party? Why was it just hanging around in the background with no explanation to its identity and intentions?- Theorizing here but it may be that there are multiple small Mana Beasts present in the world at once, but a gigantic one appears at a time of calamity (such as a technological monstrosity like the Mana Fortress abusing Mana's power) to reset the balance of Mana by metaphorically wiping the slate clean , destroying both the thing wrecking the balance and the civilization that gave rise to it. The little ones might have been briefly attracted to the party due to their involvement in trying to protect the Mana Seeds, before simply going off on their way.
