What point was Cain trying to make by shooting Dr. Ashford, then saying he was a valuable employee to Umbrella?
Past tense. "Dr. Ashford was a valuable asset to the corporation." Cain took the chance to dispose of Dr. Ashford since apparently Nemesis vs. Alice was his real goal.
The point was that he wanted Alice to fight Nemesis but she refused. When he threatened to kill her friends she tried to “call his bluff”. Shooting Dr Ashford was his way of saying “if I’m willing to kill a valuable employee, what makes you think I won’t kill your random friends who are worthless? So right Nemesis NOW”. He essentially says this verbatim.
The Truck
That truck that collides with the car carrying Angela in Apocalypse. Why did it just keep going like nothing happened? Was the driver intoxicated? If that were the case, wouldn't he have at least slowed down or swerved out of control after ramming into the car? Was he infected or killed, and his foot was stuck on the gas pedal? The virus would have only just hit the city, so how could it have happened? Or was he just some random asshole who did it just for the hell of it?
It's a RE 2 reference, in the game the main characters initially got split up by a infected truck driver plowing his truck into their means of transport.
