  • What was the point of referencing Solomon, David and Saul? I don't think I understand the references or how they relate to the events of the game.
    • The TIPs explain this, but the most direct in-game explanation comes from the prologue, where Satoru quotes Samuel 18:10-11.
    • That Guy is represented by the evil spirit, as well as by David (David being a King of Israel, being a god-like being in that regard). Saul will "smite David to the wall", analogous to trapping That Guy in the Infinity Loop (in the TIPs, the Star of David is equated to a "demon summoning charm", an object that would keep That Guy in the Loop forever. In other words, the Terra-byte Disk we never learn the contents of, forever looping between 2012 and 2011.) David having "avoided out of his presence twice" might refer to the fact that when this is said, 2012, the Space Time Transfer had already completed twice (at Mt. Akakura and at the mine).
Satoru: [Bible Quote] And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand.
And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice.
