Headscratchers / Quantum Apocalypse

• The fact that Terry remembers using his pancake recipe 672 times when Samantha says he hasn't used it once, as well as the fact that Leo experiences déjà vu while eating breakfast, suggests that Terry has been trapped in a "Groundhog Day" Loop for subjective years. But the movie ends with the comet flying harmlessly past Mars, and some of the character development that occurred during the movie has stuck despite the rewind. Has Terry finally broken the loop? What did he do differently this time?
