  • If Team Mystic is the smart group, then why do they pick a Pokémon with x4 weakness to Stealth Rock as their mascot?
    • I mean... what are they supposed to do? Choose a Pokémon entirely out of the Legendary Birds, and possibly out of their blue/ice motif, just so it doesn't have a x4 weakness? That's a bit petty, don't you think?
    • Moltres is 4x weak to Stealth Rock, too. Zapdos is the only Legendary Bird who catches anything resembling a break regarding that move.
    • One of the reasons that Team Instinct is slowly starting to catch up to Mystic and Valor is because people are starting to remember that Zapdos is the only Pokémon in the trio whose secondary-typed moves have an advantage over both of the other Legendary Birds.
    • And plus, Stealth Rock isn't in the game.
  • How do genderless pokemon hatch from eggs?
    • Why do you think we haven't seen wild Ditto yet? They've been, ahem, very busy.
  • Why are Eevee too common in Pokemon GO when they are supposed to be exotic?
    • Eevee, like other main-series starters (if you count it as The Rival's starter in Yellow), can be caught in the wild like in the anime. This brought confusion to the fans who only play main-series games and never watched anime.
    • Also, they are only exotic to Kanto. They're wild encounters in many of the later generation regions.
  • How do you know if you encounter a Ditto? I know they're supposed to be posing as other Pokémon. However, is it possible to tell by their faces or do you know after you catch a random Pokémon?
    • Ditto copy other Pokemon flawlessly. If you catch one, it will transform back into Ditto immediately after catching it (you'll get an "Oh?" message if this happens, and a short cutscene). They seem to mostly impersonate Com Mons, giving players more incentive to catch all those Pidgeys, Rattatas, Sentrets and Hoothoots.
  • Why there isn't an option for the players to "fly" in game despite you can use Flying-type Pokémon (like Charizard, Dodrio, Murkrow, Skarmory) as your buddy? Is this "Fly" move actually promotes in-game GPS spoofing?
  • So if Professor isn't disecting the pokemon you send him, nor grinding them into the candy you feed your pokemon to level them up, what is he doing with all those pokemon that you send him that you won't get them back?
  • What happen with socks in the game? Niantic give the sock option but all the male characters have are leg sleeves and the female character at least has long black socks but without the option of change the color. Even in the promotional image of the Pikachu clothes, they show a beatiful pair of yellow socks that hasn't been released yet.
    • Adding to their seemingly fixated hate on socks, some socks are, for whatever reason, tied to the shoes they're on. They are forcing you to use those shoes if you want to use the socks.
  • Why in the world aren't Great Balls and Ultra Balls available for purchase in the shop? And on a similar note, why haven't we gotten any "special" Poké Balls in the game at all? There are definitely some that could work in Go (such as Net Ball and Dusk Ball).
    • Because they likely don't want people to just buy the stronger balls all the time (even then they'll sometimes have Great and Ultra balls in special bundles). As for the lack of specialty balls, it probably wouldn't work for people who live in areas that don't spawn specific mons that those balls work on or spawn too infrequently to make it worth carrying, plus the devs probably want to keep the game simple without confusing newer players.
  • To evolve Eevee into Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon for the first time you have to call it Rainer, Sparky or Pyro, which is pretty obvious considering how widespread the news is and how popular The Battling Eevee Brothers! is. To get Umbreon or Espeon for the first time you have to call it Tamao or Sakura which again makes sense because of the Kimono Girls being fairly well known. So, why would they have you call your Eevee Rea, Linnea or Kira after the Eevee users in Pokémon Sun and Moon? To me, it would make more sense to have the Easter Egg be Zoey (who owned a Leafeon in the anime), Dawn (who's Eevee evolved into one there) or Serena (whose Eevee evolved into a Sylveon). Meanwhile, the Eevee users are something of a Guide Dang It! because first, you have to become Champion, then go to the Thrifty Megamart (which most people wouldn't think to go back to) and talk to the Veteran cashier and then go to a series of out of the way locations and challenge the people there. Wouldn't it make more sense to name your Eevee after characters from the anime for Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon?
