• After the raid on the French ship in episode 5, Frenchie somehow knows the paper he's holding is an invitation to a fancy party, despite having been established as illiterate earlier.
  • Frenchie does say he was "in service" for a minute: he might know what an invitation looks like without knowing the specifics of what it says.
  • He also could have asked Lucius or Jim what it said, since they're both literate.
