• Saburo is only shown having a language barrier issue with regard to his Gratuitous English. Wouldn't he also have to work against several centuries of linguistic drift, pronunciation changes (if any), and regional dialect differences?
• For a series that is noteworthy for its historical accuracy - albeit with a humorous time traveling twist - Nobunaga Concerto is also notable for the absence of Oda Nobunaga's children in the story. Historically, Nobunaga had at least 19 children through his concubines Kitsuno and Lady Saka (also absent in the story) as his wife Nōhime/Kichou bore him no children and was considered barren. Nobunaga's eldest son Nobutada died shortly after his father, when he was also forced to commit suicide as a result of being besieged by Akechi Mitsuhide's forces. Nobutada's son Hidenobu then became leader of the Oda clan. Nobunaga's eldest daughter Tokuhime eventually married Tokugawa Ieyasu's eldest son Matsudaira Nobuyasu, hence making Nobunaga the latter's father-in-law. So we can see that Nobunaga's children also had a role in the closing days of the Sengoku period, yet they have been completely omitted from both the manga and anime, as far as we know. Why is that so?
  • Obviously the story diverges from real history on this point (and other points as well), but Nobunaga has children... the real Nobunaga, that is. As it turns out in volume 4, Mitsuhide has a daughter by his current wife, and two sons by his previous wife, the late Kitsuno (who was historically Oda Nobunaga's concubine who gave him his two eldest sons). So Mitsuhide's children are actually Nobunaga's. Saburou himself has shown no interest in any woman aside from Kichou, and since Kichou is apparently barren he has no children. (Saburou being Saburou, he probably wouldn't be down with the idea of having concubines, anyway.) Note, though, that the manga generally doesn't really concern itself with marriages and children unless it directly influences whatever Nobunaga/Saburou is doing.
