The finale

  • If the show was basically all a quest that could be finished with nobody but 828ers remembering, how did Al-Zuras see the plane and predict the future that long ago if that world 'never existed' outside of 828ers' memories? Is it just part of some 'divine plan' to give them clues all those centuries later?
  • Why did it happen? What did it change apart from those ca. 200 people's lives and why at that particular point in time (2013) and that period (5,5 years)?
  • Throughout the series there are a lot of indications that the 828ers died/the Callings are 'memories' of having lived through the series' events once before.
    • Does that mean they got several attempts at surviving the death date? If they did die, were they resurrected as a second chance to get it right?
    • And why would they have died? From the storm? There wasn't anything wrong with the plane, but the passengers that die do so in the manner they would have if the plane exploded. Is that confirmation that they did die?
  • What exactly did happen in the finale when the passengers appeared to travel five years back in time? If they did do this, what happened to the original timeline? Was it rewritten following their return, or does it still exist as an alternate universe? This would mean that from the perspective of the people in the original timeline, the passengers left for a second time on the plane and never returned. Or did the entire series before the final landing happen in some kind of collectively shared dream?
