• Aren't the Sawyers supposed to be cannibals? Why would you feed perfectly good meat to your pigs?
  • Maybe they just feed the pigs what they couldn't eat themselves, and didn't have time to eat Sorells themselves since Hartman was on his way.
• Leatherface in the 1974 film is clearly mentally challenged. In this film, even after being shot in the face, there's no indication that his mind has been impaired.
  • Spending 9 years with an abusive family after getting half his face shot off and killing his friend can't have been good for Jed's sanity, and it probably caused him to regress into a childlike state over the years.
