• Why is no one talking about the Sacramento Kings?
  • Only the finest in locals only nitpicking: Not a word is mentioned of the biggest thing in 2002 Sacramento; The Lakers-Kings West Conference Finals.
    • Most likely it has to do with the cast being fairly minimal and insular; it's pretty normal for a single family to not be huge sports fans, especially if they can't afford to go to games. Lady Bird's friends are all hipsters who claim to hate mainstream culture and capitalism. And, most importantly, the basketball playoff season is glossed over relatively quickly (prom and graduation are the big focuses, but we don't get as much slice-of-life footage around that period); more drama occurs in the winter/spring and over the break.
