As a Headscratchers subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy. You Have Been Warned.

  • Why is Bilgenia's appearance so different from that of the other Kaijins (besides a reference to his original Black incarnation)? His transformed state looks more like a set of armor then him changing into another species, which is how literally every other Kaijin seems to transform.

  • Speaking of Gorgom members, why is Bishum a literal DINOSAUR Kaijin?! Besides the insanity of her being the only Kaijin with a dinosaur for an alternate form, how was Pterosaur DNA even found for her conversion into a Kaijin? I’m aware that there are samples of mostly complete dinosaur DNA that have been found, but they are VERY rare.

  • Does the Creation King really have no will of it’s own? While, yes, it does mostly stay in place and provide it’s extract, there are clear moments where it acts on its own. Several of those moments (such as it’s defending during Kotaro’s attempted assassinations) could be excused as some form of survival mechanism, patting the heads of the young Kotaro and Nobuhiko, not to mention it's slaughter of the scientists who made it don’t seem like the actions of an empty shell.
    • The Creation King eventually becomes an empty shell. It's not the first thing that happens. Kotaro when forcibly transformed still has enough sanity to ask Aoi to kill him.

  • Alright, can someone please explain what the hell is with the Kingstones? Besides the whole "being made during an eclipse" thing and "being key to the creation of the next Creation King", they really haven’t been explained much. Moreover, they seem to have borderline magical abilities, given that they made the various members of Gorgom levitate and gave Aoi visions of the past during their various attempts at succeeding the Creation King.
    • The stones appear to be the only case where this series relies on magic and not science.

  • Why haven't Gorgom and the Japanese government ever tried creating a new Creation King using the same process Michinosuke and his team did? Doing so would give multiple sources for Heat Heaven instead of having them be dependent on just one. Even if they don't know exactly how the Creation King was made the first time, they have access to the research left behind from it, which should include an inventory of all the chemicals that were used in the experiments. It certainly wouldn't take 80 years to try out different combinations of them to figure out what worked.
    • They do not have the Kingstones. The implication is that the Stones are needed for a Creation King to be created at all. Kotaro and Nobuhiko's fathers have hidden them within their sons hoping that they should never have to see the light of day ever again.
      • Why can't they make new Kingstones then?

  • How exactly did Michinosuke and his research team create the rest of the first generation of kaijins and slot them into society? The only kaijin they're actually shown creating is the Creation King. Also, how were none of the kaijins aware of their origins and how did the Japanese government keep that covered up?
    • Possibly they have some sort of amnesia inducing serum.

  • Where did Aoi’s Rider belt/Driver come from? Unlike Black Sun and Shadowmoon (the only other Kaijin to have belts), there didn’t seem to be anything special about her conversion into a Kaijin. And if it’s just something that can be generated by any strong Kaijin, why haven’t we seen more of them, especially among the Gorgom party?
    • It could be a result of her being exposed to the Kingstone for years on end, making her closer to something like Black Sun and Shadowmoon rather than a normal Kaijin.
      • That would probably mean she's this setting's Black RX.
      • Black RX was the result of Kotaro’s Kingstone being shattered and then mutating both itself and Kotaro through solar radiation. This seems to be more that the Kingstone’s influence might have resulted in a general enhancement for Aoi, so that if she ever became a Kaijin, she would be much stronger than a normal one and could develop a Driver like Black Sun and Shadowmoon.

  • What’s with the second generation Kaijin, like Shuusuke? The process for being turned into a Kaijin seems to involve having a device and stone (made of genetic material from an animal, insect, or similar creature) installed in a person’s abdomen. So, how are Shuusuke and others like him able to transform? Do they just develop similar structures to the implants of their parents in utero, or did they go through the same procedure to be turned into a Kaijin themselves (which wouldn’t really explain why second-gens seem to be weaker)?
