Headscratchers / John Carpenter's Vampires

Go To

  • when Jack is staking and decapitating the dead slayers at the motel to prevent them from coming back as vampires he's shown staking Father Giovanni in the heart, except the father wasn't bitten by valek at all, valek killed him with a double barrel shotgun right in front of Crow and Montoya. There was no need for Jack to stake the dead priest.
    • Jack was being thorough. You could make the same argument about some of the others who killed at the motel, too. But there’s nothing saying that Valek didn’t go back to the motel and got a quick bite before sunrise. It’s better to do what Jack did to every corpse than to risk the possibility of one of them coming back to life, no matter what their condition was when they were killed. So, headless or not, Jack wasn’t going to risk it. When it comes to vampires, There Is No Kill Like Overkill.
