Headscratchers / Hellraiser: Inferno

  • So, at the first "murder," where Joseph finds the puzzle box, there's a child's finger in the candle. But this was before he opened the box and got dragged to Cenobite hell, and the finger motif became truly important. So why was there a finger at the scene of Joe's old high school buddy apparently being dragged through the box? Did Pinhead put it there just so Joe's before-and-after box opening would have consistency? Coincidence? Hell-based retcon?

    • Even though he was still in reality, the finger in the candle could be from a different child, until Thorne opened the box, where in his reality/his hell, the finger is his, but in real life the finger was from another child.
