- Where do the eggs come from? In the webisodes they never show nor tell us, the characters just seemingly find them out of nowhere complete with a neat nest.so
- As of 2022 they introduced sets of families, complete with a pair of parents (which are considered the first-ever "grownup" Hatchimals too), so this may hint about where the eggs come from, though as it turns out the eggs are huge compared to the parent Hatchimals. Imagine laying those…
- Well, the whole “parent Hatchimals” thing was from the redesign, and they also came out with an RV playset as of recently (which kinda leaves using their wings redundant), so they probably did change quite a few things. For the eggs, there was a comment that was left by the official channel before COPPA came along saying that they didn’t want to “spoil the mystery”. They could’ve fell from the sky a la Barney's Great Adventure for all we know.

- Where do the Orphaned Etymology situations originate from anyways? Do the Hatchimals know what a birth is, despite never using that term outside of the word birthday? Do they know what a king is despite never even having one in Hatchtopia? How did the holiday of Christmas and that basic, run-of-the-mill birthday song get to Hatchtopia anyways?
- They probably weren’t paying too much attention to how etymology would come into play or how the lore works in the Hatchimals toyline. As for the “hatch-day” song as some would like to call it, maybe they just wanted something familiar for the kids (though admittedly a more original song would be better). Besides, they’re cute animal toys that hatch from eggs, maybe we should just relax.
- How is it that there are Hatchimals who are completely mature, can speak in full coherent sentences, can fly, and knows their name after they just hatched, while there are also those who act like complete infants?
- Seems like inconsistency here, but consistent lore and checking continuity errors sure isn’t Spin Master’s stronger suit.
- Since there are variants of the same type of Hatchimal (in case you haven’t known, they’re Pengualas, Draggles, Tigerettes, Kittycans, etc) and the characters are named after their respective types, is it possible that there is more than one Puppit named Puppit? Or more than one Kittycan named Kittycan?
- Could be their nicknames. Though thankfully in the redesign each Hatchimal was given a unique name.
- Where are Mer-Mouseswift and Mer-Pandoo, the first Mermals, at now? Are they deceased?
- Since they’re the first Mermals (speaking as if the species has existed for a very long time), likely so, depending on the lifespan of a Hatchimal, not to mention they were never seen outside of the story that was told to the protagonists. But apparently kids shouldn’t learn about the word “death”…
- What’s the point of there being a door to Real Life in the Giggling Tree anyway? Are the Hatchimals even aware that stepping…er…wing in the human world could land them in serious trouble, maybe even getting captured by the government thinking that they’re extraterrestrial life forms and now they can’t find their way back to Hatchtopia?
- Probably to connect with the kids more and probably give a reference to certain fairy series. As always, listen to the MST3K Mantra.
- Does Hatchtopia have a government or head of state of any kind? There are royal Hatchimals in Season 6, though they do not seem to make up one whole royal family or a network of nobles and seem to be for looks. Also to note that the throne in Polar Palace is said to be only for helping them to hatch, not for a monarch to sit there.
- Hatchtopia is probably consisted of states or provinces for all we know, given that there’s also a Coral Castle in the Hatchtopian Sea (though it’s used as some sort of museum rather than a residence for officials). As for who the leader of Hatchtopia may be, it’s unclear. Maybe it’s one of the so-called “royals”, maybe not.
