- In The Heir, Richard performs a ritual that restores Anna to her youth and causes her to age very slowly (or not at all). Anna is a twin. Is she now a few decades younger than her twin sister? Or did the ritual affect both of them? (Judging by the photo she finds in Horizon of Wishes, Luisa was not impacted by the ritual.)
- Carrying on from that, Anna is possibly immortal and her husband is too. Will their daughter Alice eventually be (or at least appear) older than they are? Will Anna and Dorian have to watch their own child grow old and die?
- From the events of Heritage onward, Richard is missing. There's a line about him being "on vacation." But Richard is a ghost who is bound into his own skull, so... where the heck is he and how did he get out?!
- This one finally gets cleared up in the installment Horizon of Wishes. Most likely, him being "on vacation" is just how they chose to explain it to the young Alice, who is the one who says the line.
- Another one for Heritage: Maureen is Dorian's sister. But... Dorian is at least a hundred years old, according to his introduction in Crimson Hollow, so just how old is Maureen? And if she's of comparable age to Dorian, what's the secret of her immortality?
