Because both her and Slime are just that greedy.
If Santa is able to tell whether a kid is naughty or nice, why couldn't he determine who Grandma was? And even there's something preventing him from doing that, couldn't he have just looked through her belongings for some identification? It's doubtful she would've left to get her medication without it.
Santa moreso interacts with kids, not too many adults. Another explanation is that there's more than one "Spankenheimer" family (He does visit a shit-ton of families) and Santa was set on getting her medical attention ASAP.
