• Venus was an Mother Earth Goddess, right? Doesn't that mean she would have been resurrected as a Divine Ancestor in service to Shirou after he killed her?
  • That's only when they are weakened and made to submit/made lovers instead of outright killed. Kind of like what he did with Lancelot but with a Mother Earth Goddess instead.
  • Venus is not a Mother Earth goddess. She was stated to have come from Aphrodite, who in turn came from the goddess Ishtar, a goddess of fertility and war.
• Why was Shirou able to record Alex's promise with his phone when just before the battle he couldn't answer it because it had no battery?
  • There actually are cell phones that shut down at a few percent battery power in order to allow the user to turn the phone on and make a call in case of emergency. There aren't many models with that feature (many people would find it annoying anyway) and in any case the author did not note Shirou turning the phone on so it's most likely actually a plot hole, but the possibility of Shirou's phone having that feature does exist.
  • Explained as the battery finally started to break down making his phone unresponsive at the time of the call.
