Headscratchers / Fat Albert

  • What exactly was Reggie's plan? He finds out that Albert and his friends are actually cartoon characters and he plans on revealing it to everybody. But, really consider this. Let's say that he did reveal this? 1) Who the hell is gonna believe him? Like really, who? 2) Let's say that they did believe him (which is pretty unlikely). What would he really gain out of that? It's not some huge embarrassing secret that Albert doesn't want revealed, heck, they don't even really seem to treat the whole "we're actually cartoon characters" as a secret to begin with. So it's not getting back at Albert or really making himself look cooler, it's just stupid.
    • While I can't explain the logistics of his plan, I think it was mostly just Reggie letting his ego and jealousy of Albert get the better of him.

  • How did nobody recognize Albert and the Cosby Kids as being the cartoon characters? Obviously, people wouldn't immediately say "Oh my God, the cartoon characters came to life!", but wouldn't they question why this group of guys act exactly like the characters of a relatively-famous cartoon? I know the show isn't as popular as it used to be, but you'd think someone would point it out.
    • It's not as if the characters have outlandish designs or anything, to be fair. They all still look like normal people, so anyone who recognizes them could just assume they're cosplaying or something.

  • So if Fat Albert and the gang have gained the ability to go into the real world, how has this not happened before? Have other characters done this?
    • On the other side of the spectrum, how can a single tear create a magic portal to the real world, just by falling into the remote? They never explain this at all!
    • Wasn't there a reveal in the move about Doris's grandfather having been the inspiration for Albert's character or something? I always figured that was the intended explanation, that it needed to be the tears of someone who was a close relative of the inspiration for a given character.
  • What was the whole point of the Buck Buck Bullies? They bully Russell cause they said they wanted a rematch to become champions but...they end up doing the exact same thing (forfeiting when Albert arrives) anyway so why are they even there? If you ask me, Russell's subplot should have been about him convincing Danielle to stay on the show and give Albert a second chance since she considered quitting and leaving at first and then suddenly shows back up again near the end.
  • Why does Bill Cosby immediately believe that Albert is his creation? For all he knew, "Albert" could just been an unhealthily-obsessed fan who genuinely thinks he is Fat Albert.
