Headscratchers / Elvis (2022)

Go To

  • Why does Elvis address Tom Parker with "Admiral" instead of "Colonel" when he visits Parker in the hospital in Las Vegas?
    • It was a joke.
  • Everyone is mentioning how this movie is an homage to the classic Captain Marvel comics... Why? I'm a big classic Captain Marvel fan and the similarities are just very superficial. Yeah, I guess one could say Elvis is a parallelism to Billy Batson or Freddy Freeman, but Tom Parker as the Wizard? The Wizard is a father figure who gives Billy his powers, while Parker is an asshole who limited Elvis' (Oh, and in the comics Captain Marvel Jr., Elvis' favourite character gained powers from Captain Marvel himself, not the Wizard). And the hotel being the Rock of Eternity... They don't even work as polar opposites. Could someone explain it to me?
