Headscratchers / Dragonheart: A New Beginning

• How exactly was Griffin planning to enslave humanity? While it is clear that dragons are very powerful, it still seems impossible even if Griffin had convinced Drake to join him, how would just one or two dragons be able to enslave the entire human race? Especially if just one man (Bowen) was capable of driving them to extinction?
  • For one thing, they would have the element of "surprise" in that the humans would have been facing a world that will ill-equipped to deal with a species they believed to be extinct. For another, Griffin's clearly more than a bit insane after spending so long as a human; he may have simply over-estimated the dragons' own abilities and/or underestimated humanity.

• Why didn’t Draco seek Griffin out after the deaths of all the other dragons?
  • Considering that Griffin was dealt with by the Eastern dragons, Draco may not have even known he existed, depending on if it was known Griffin had been cursed to become a human, as he could just as easily have been killed. Besides, when Griffin was so utterly opposed to humanity while Draco basically seemed to like them in the sense that he only attacked when provoked or to eat (and then only eating cattle rather than humans), it's doubtful they would have been able to get along anyway.

• Why didn't Draco tell Bowen about the egg?
  • The most likely possibility is that he didn't know about it; the egg was concealed when Bowen found it, so it may be that the scarred one (the female dragon Bowen killed early on, and the most likely candidate for Drake's mother) hid the egg in the cave somewhere she knew it would be safe from discovery so that it could incubate, but died before she could tell Draco she had laid it.

• Where did the prophecy about the dragon heart and the two tailed comet come from? The monks at Gilbert’s monastery that raised Drake knew about it which is why they kept him hidden, but it was so well known it reached the far east as Kwan also knew it, if mankind thought dragons were extinct then it wouldn’t make sense for them to make up this prophecy and if it came from the dragons then shouldn’t Draco have known about it and sought to destroy the evil dragon who would threaten mankind?
