Headscratchers / Dragon Rage

• How in the hell do the Orcs manage to enslave the Dragon race roughly 1000 years ago and yet get their asses more or less handed to them by a single Dragon?
• Since 3DO went bankrupt and Ubisoft bought the rights to the Might and Magic series does that mean they also own Dragon Rage which was to be a part of the series?
