Headscratchers / Dracula 2000

Go To

  • We see Van Helsing inject himself with one of the leeches containing Dracula's blood around the time the coffin is being stolen, to revitalize himself, yet after he lands in America, his hair looks stringy and receded, and he's clearly being hindered in his movements by the effects of his advanced age. It seems pretty strange that he would need to give himself daily injections of Dracula's blood in order to keep going, and based on the film, the effects of his latest injection don't keep him revitalized for even a day, which would mean he'd need multiple injections every day to keep going, based on what happens to him in the film. It's also pretty hard to believe that Dracula would even have enough blood in his body for the leeches to draw out and provide Van Helsing with a blood source for well over a century, especially when Dracula has been given absolutely nothing to feed on during that time.
