• Why did Eleanor want to force Drea to record her friends at the Admissions Party? Obviously she has beef against Drea, but why would she want to take the other students down when she seemed to like them?
  • They're all just collateral damage to Eleanor; she doesn't truly care about them. She enjoyed the birthday party they threw her but they're not really her friends. She only cares about destroying Drea and knows that if the video leak is traced to Drea, Drea will be permanently ostracized and will never be able to ascend socially or economically even after high school (since Rosehill students are part of wealthy, powerful families who can make sure to block Drea from lucrative opportunities while also making sure their own kids don’t get in trouble for what happens at the party).
  • Eleanor also probably enjoys the Dramatic Irony of fulfilling her end of the pact to ruin Drea's friends and Max just as Drea wanted, but in a way that will leave Drea heartbroken and even more disgraced and ruined.
• Wouldn't Max get into trouble for distributing sexual acts with minors?
  • He has rich and powerful parents who could get him a reduced sentence, or probation. He’s also a minor himself, so he won’t be charged as an adult.
  • This is also likely why he claimed he was hacked, dishonestly in the first case and honestly in the second.
