• Do all the guys that Darkman impersonates have the same height?
  • ...And eye color? Same kind of teeth as he does? And where does he get the hair? Does he rob wig stores?
  • It's hard to see unless you're watching in hi-def, but Darkman always has blue eyes, even when he's impersonating someone. It's easiest to tell when he's impersonating Durant, because Larry Drake's eyes are green in that scene.
  • The novelization mentions that yes, he orders a lot of wigs, contact lenses, and other things to perfect his disguises.
    • In the sequels, the hair comes part of the mask ready-made.
• In the beginning, Durant's men are all searched and stripped of their weapons. It's then revealed that they've smuggled a machinegun in Skip's leg. But after Smiley starts shooting, suddenly all of Durant's men have guns. Where did those come from?
  • I always thought they were looted from the dead goons.
• Julie doesn't live with Peyton and has her own place, as established in their scene on the sidewalk. So why did Durant and his men come looking for the Belisarius Memorandum at Peyton's place?
  • Maybe they went through her apartment while she was gone, didn't find it, and decided to look in Peyton's lab. In the scene proper it also seems like they're there moreso to interrogate Peyton (Durant first asks him directly where the documents are before looking at anything) rather than investigate the lab and it's blind luck (Guzmán basically stumbles on them while they're brutalizing Peyton) that they find it there.
