Headscratchers / Dark Fall

  • If the Dark Fall had been locked away in prehistory, and remained trapped in its can until George and Arther started messing around with the occult, how did it make off with Tom Oliver back during the English Civil War?
  • If Malakai wants to be reunited with his human makers so badly, why didn't he just stay in sleep mode for a few thousand years, and wait for the underwater lab to be built? He could've woken up every once in a while to see how close to 2090 AD he was, eventually sending out a "I'm right here under the island, come dig me up!" signal immediately after his younger self's departure. No need to mess with anyone's mind, cause mysterious disappearances, transport people or items through time, or change history: merely being patient would've achieved the probe's goals just fine.
  • If no one witnessed Lizzie Preem's death, as Carmen claims in the radio broadcast, why was her demise pegged immediately as a suicide? Even if her note was found right away, you'd think that after such an alarming string of deaths at Shangri-La, the police would take at least a day or two to confirm it wasn't forged and the woman, murdered.
