Why exactly did Virginia stay with Bugsy for as long as she did? I mean, I speak for the common good that from the get-go their relationship was quite toxic. This is evident in the part where she made that nice dinner for him and all he did was ask questions regarding her past sex life; and only started eating the meal (with much indifference of course) after his confrontation with Cohen and Dragna. And yet in spite of his aloofness in that part, she… was aroused by his actions, even though he was clearly initially uninterested in her advances. I’m just at a loss as to why she wouldn’t walk out on him permanently instead of the few occasions she got pissed at him but then came back.
