• Did Grace really sleep with Tommy? Or was Isabelle lying just to hurt her poor father?
  • When Grace and Tommy kiss, they immediately regret it. If the film showed us this kiss, it's safe to say that it would've shown us them having sex had they done it. It's most likely just Isabelle trying her best to be as hurtful as possible to her father out of spite.

• Why didn't Grace punish Isabelle for her extremely ugly behavior at her sister's birthday dinner? If I were Grace, I wouldn't have been at all sweet and passive if my child acted like a horrible little bitch like that!
  • Isabelle going unpunished also reflects poorly on Grace, as the passive response to the whole incident could be interpreted as her admitting to the 'infidelity.'

• Why didn't the Taliban immediately publicize their capture of the Americans? Typically when Americans are captured in war, the captors tend to boast about it soon thereafter to show off their prize.
