    Why accept Marines
While it's clearly done for drama, just so both Cain and Adama are secretly pointing guns at each others heads, Adama accepting a contingent of Marines from Cain makes absolutely no sense. First, the two of them are in an outright state of suspended hostilities who are barely putting things aside for right now to strike a major blow against the Cylons, but were moments away from opening fire. Putting heavily armed troops loyal to Cain right inside and outside his CIC (when its by then well known Cain is perfectly chill executing people - including his own men! - up to and including her original XO?) It just seems like something Adama would be very hard pressed to overlook. And even if he DID accept them, it's clear that Tigh and Fisk were assigning defensive zones for the fire teams to make sure everyone wouldn't shoot each other. As the Battlestar Commander, Adama would be perfectly within his rights to station them somewhere useful but not threatening, like the airlocks or something. But directly outside and inside the CIC, where they could have very easily (and planned to!) kill them all in moments? Especially when he was *actually* planning to kill Cain outright which might have triggered the troops to kill Adama and his officers in revenge even without them having orders to do so? Couldn't they have simply had Fisk so damn loyal to Cain that he was also ordered to shoot Adama just like Kara, with Cain convinced Adama's officers would meekly fall into line or something?
