Headscratchers / An American Werewolf in Paris

  • So, how the hell do ghosts supposedly work in the film's universe? From what I can tell, anyone who gets killed by a werewolf becomes a ghost (sometimes a vengeful ghost, as in Amy's case). However, if this is so, why doesn't Claude (who presumably has killed hundreds of people) have tons of ghosts bothering him? Also even weirder; apparently if the guy who made you a werewolf dies, not only do you turn back into a human, but any ghosts of people you killed while you were a werewolf disappear as well (as Amy disappears after Claude dies). So, what's the deal? The whole thing seems like one giant Voodoo Shark.
    • Its possible we only see the ghosts of people Andy killed because, well, he's the central character. As for Claude, he's a murderous asshole. He probably does have hundreds of ghosts bugging him 24/7, he just doesn't care and ignores their pleas. Heck, its possible that at some point the ghosts just gave up and left him alone.
    • The ghost thing only applies to werewolves who still have a conscience.
  • The police find Andy in a graveyard with the blood of a cop and a tourist all over him and in his mouth. How is he not arrested up by the police when he tries to fly out of Paris? Werewolf or not, the facts are immutable. He ate two people and crushed a dog.
