• In issue 18 it's revealed that Laura didn't kill the citizens of Daylesville. She snikted herself in the face just as the trigger scent was beginning to take effect, and Bellona, who has now been outfit with claws of her own, carried out the massacre as a contingency plan. In which case, why didn't they just capture her right then and there? Why still go through the whole Batman Gambit of luring Laura to Madripoor when she they could have just taken her in Daylesville, in which case Gabby would never know what happened to her, and be able to recruit Gambit, Warren, and most importantly Jean, to come to her rescue. To say nothing of preventing S.H.I.E.L.D. from getting to the bottom of it.
  • Kimura is a sadistic bully who enjoys torturing Laura. She probably wanted to leave no doubt in anyones mind, especially Laura’s, that she killed all those people. Abducting her then and there would have implanted a seed of doubt in peoples heads that she might have not done it. Not to mention that she would never pass up on Laura waking up surrounded by people she would have every reason to think she murdered.
