Game Breaker / Cookie Run: Kingdom

Go To

Cookie Run Kingdom has an impressive lineup of Cookies, each with their own unique abilities, and like any other gacha game, there are Cookies who stand up and above the others in their role.

Due to the endless powercreep, what cookies may seem useless today would have been cream of the crop back when they are released.

Also considering that powercreep is constantly changing the meta and what cookies are broken, we will leave the date that this was last updated, If you wish to update this page in the future, please put the date you updated it in.

Last Updated: Feb 15, 2024

Also, do not add any examples unless the said offender has made a significant impact on the game for a long period of time.

Current Meta:

  • Crème Brûlée Cookie becomes more powerful for every time his skill, Accelerando is used. Each use of the skill has him gain a stack of Accelerando that increases the amount of projectiles his attacks create and increases his own Attack Speed as well. If he has maximum Accelerando stacks, he not only fires even more projectiles, but also ignores 30% of the opponent's Damage Resist. He also garnts his allies Mysterious Melody, which allows his teammates to attack faster and ignore Attack Speed Debuffs.
  • Frost Queen Cookie is an exceptionally powerful Legendary Magic Cookie who provides both powerful crowd control and potent burst damage. Her Freezing Squall skill freezes all enemies in a wide area for good damage, and against enemy Cookies, stops their cooldowns as well. When the Freeze debuff wears off, it shatters the enemies for over quadruple the initial damage dealt. She is an excellent choice for both the Arena and World Exploration thanks to what she provides, and Witches help you if you see her paired up with Sea Fairy Cookie in the Arena. Her main flaw is that, unlike Sea Fairy, the bulk of her damage comes from inflicting her crowd control, and if the enemy is immune, then her damage takes a significant hit. Luckily, the December 2022 update buffed Frost Queen by having her skill inflict the Frost debuff, amplifying the damage from her skill's second hit, and her second hit is now guaranteed to trigger even on Freeze resistant enemies, with 70% of the damage dealt.
    • And thanks to the new Crystal Jam, her skill now comes with a whopping 65% defence reduction, while also having no charge to use said upgraded skill like Sea Fairy or Black Pearl's Crystal Jam.
  • Snapdragon Cookie is not only Safeguarded like the BTS Cookies, meaning they don't have to worry about taking damage, but also provides plenty of buffs such as Debuff Resist, Attack Up, Damage Resist, and Stun Resist using their skill, Arcane Blossom. In addition, they also provide Draconic Lifeforce to Dragon Cookies, to which Pitaya Dragon Cookie is the only Cookie of that rarity, and is very powerful in his own right.

Powercreeped:

  • Dark Choco Cookie. His Sword of Darkness skill deals great damage in a large area, and debuffs the Defense of all targets hit by 20%. This makes him already powerful as is, but he shines even more in battles against large enemies like the Red Velvet Dragon. Against large enemies, his skill can strike them multiple times and make his Defense debuff stack, enabling his entire party to deal much more damage than usual. And as a Charge Cookie, he is a Lightning Bruiser by default, sporting impressive stats all around.
    • That said, he has started to fall off significantly with the introduction of Milky Way Cookie, who not only provides a larger DEF debuff, but she also provides crowd control and shielding to go with it.
  • Sea Fairy Cookie. As a Bomber Cookie, she specializes in dealing monstrous damage to everything in the vicinity, and what makes her stand out among other Bombers is the hard crowd control she inflicts with her Soaring Compassion skill. It deals two hits, the first hit stunning all enemies for three seconds, and then the second hit blows them up for massive damage. Her damage is strong enough to be capable of wiping out an entire team in the Arena, and is also a great choice for clearing waves of enemies in World Exploration. She isn't a Legendary Cookie for no reason, after all.
    • However her raw damage and stun couldn't have comprehended the many debuffs later cookies would provide, and so after Caramel Arrow's release she began a slow death spiral, even her Crystal Jam didn't help as you need her at a high ascension level in order to make use of her band-aid fix of higher damage.
  • Eclair Cookie is a Magic Cookie disguised as a Support Cookie. His Book of History skill deals shockingly huge damage and inflicts the Weakness debuff on up to three enemies, which amplifies the damage they take by 25%. The debuff lasts for 40 seconds, and if an enemy is killed while afflicted with Weakness, the party receives a shield worth 25% of their maximum HP. And on top of that, Weakness can stack up to four times, which means the enemy can take up to 100% increased damage. Eclair can enable weaker teams to hit way above their weight, and is a very welcome addition to a party regardless of what quest you're doing. He's powerful enough that Chapters 13 and 14 introduced crippling debuffs to shielding and increased enemies' debuff resistance to try and balance him out. And even then, it still wasn't enough.
    • However he isn't used as much nowadays due to overall powercreep introducing cookies with scarier and scarier debuffs (and buffs).
  • Caramel Arrow Cookie makes her presence known as one of the most powerful Cookies in the Arena. Her Arrow of Resolution skill places her far in the backline, and fires off powerful arrows that mark the enemy with a stacking Arrow Mark, then rushes forward and detonates the marks, dealing humongous damage based on the Cookie's maximum HP per stack. Said Arrow Marks can also stack up to 12 times, practically ensuring that whatever Cookie she gets her hands on will crumble.
    • The same reason as Eclair above.
  • Pure Vanilla Cookie, as the first Ancient rarity Cookie, establishes himself as one of the strongest healers in the game. While he seems Boring, but Practical, his Love and Peace skill provides large burst healing to the entire party, compared to other Healing Cookies who only target up to two allies, and also provides an HP shield to further aid in their survivability. Being an Ancient Cookie, he is an all-around powerful ally to have. He got an upgrade in the 2nd Anniversary update, which improved the potency of his healing, now giving gradual healing if he can't give shields, reducing the Injury debuff by 50%, and also amplifies the potency of the party's buffs by 25%, giving him offensive utility.
  • Dark Cacao Cookie. Befitting an Ancient Charge Cookie and the father of Dark Choco, he inflicts a wider array of debuffs with his Solemn Judgment. Alongside debuffing the enemies' Attack and Defense, he also inflicts Injury, cutting off up to 25% of their health bar and rendering it unable to be healed, and Zap, which deals Damage Over Time and disrupts any HP shields active to ensure the damage sticks. The amount of debuffs he inflicts makes him a very versatile and powerful addition to any team, as well as making him an absolute menace to face in the Arena.
  • Hollyberry Cookie. Being an Ancient Defense Cookie, she boasts absurdly high HP and Defense to tank strong hits. Her Oath on the Shield skill redirects 20% of the damage her allies take to herself, giving them considerable breathing room to recover or keep them alive to keep dishing out damage. Pair her with a Cookie that can grant HP shields (such as Pure Vanilla listed above), and she can make your party very difficult to take down. She later received a significant buff in the 2nd Anniversary update, granting the party critical resistance, boosting the damage redirection to 30%, greatly increasing the damage dealt to enemies immune to stun and piercing half of their Damage Resist, and also grants her a Seed of Life for every critical hit she takes, blooming into a Berry of Life at 15 stacks that makes her next skill cast inflict stun.
  • Clotted Cream Cookie is the game's first Super Epic Cookie, and he does not disappoint. He is a Magic Cookie who specializes in singling out a key target and erasing them with his Consul's Orders skill, trapping the nearest enemy in a Light Cage that ignores interruption resistance. When the Light Cage disappears, it deals massive damage based on the enemy's max HP and stuns them too for good measure. The skill also deals heavy damage in a wide area, also giving Clotted Cream great use in clearing out waves of enemies. He is a very popular pick in the Arena for this reason.
    • The same reason as Eclair above.
  • Moonlight Cookie immediately made waves as one of the most overpowered Cookies in the game. She is a Legendary Magic Cookie who combines waveclear, massive damage, crowd control, damage amplification, and self-sustain all in one skill, Dream of the Night Sky. The skill sends out a wave of stars that pierce 40% of the enemy's Damage Resist stat, inflict the Weakness debuff from Eclair Cookie, and additionally deals true damage based on Max HP on enemy Cookies, then sends out a wave of moonlight that deals massive damage and puts all enemies to sleep. Not even status resistance helps much, as it also inflicts Drowsy, debuffing their speed until they inevitably fall asleep anyway. To top it off, Moonlight Cookie heals herself for a great amount of HP after casting the skill, and even trying to put her to sleep will just heal her anyway. She's more or less replaced Sea Fairy and Frost Queen as the premier nuker in PVP, with the powerful damage and utility she offers.
    • The same reason as Eclair above.
  • The BTS Cookies: RM, Jin, V, Suga, Jimin, j-hope, and Jung Kook are impressively powerful support Cookies. Their skill, ARMY's Wishes, grants healing over time, immunity to Stun, and +30% debuff resistance, and if the ally suffers from 3 or more debuffs, they also grant an HP shield and damage resistance. In addition to blowing Parfait Cookie out of the water, what also makes them very powerful is their unique attributes. They play similarly to Support Cookies, but are listed as their own class, the BTS Cookie, and as they are classified as Special rarity Cookies, they can bypass all of the team restrictions imposed by the Arena and the Tower of Sweet Chaos, ensuring you have a very strong healer and buffer no matter the situation. To top it off, they are Safeguarded, which means they are completely invincible to all damage and debuffs unless they're the last Cookie standing, which knocks them out. A BTS Cookie teamed up with Pure Vanilla Cookie and Hollyberry Cookie is one of the scariest defensive team compositions you can run into. The only downside? They were event-limited and may not be seen for a long time, if ever. Meaning if you don't have any one of these, Snapdragon Cookie will suffice.
    • While still good in their own right, Snapdragon Cookie doesn't suffer from Temporary Online Content, and can be upgraded more easily compared to The BTS Cookies. They cannot equip Beascuits, however, which is why Snapdragon is used more in comparison.

Non-Cookie Examples:

  • The Black Pearl Islands altar effect that buffs the stats of Common Cookies by a ludicrous 800-950%. With this effect, Angel Cookie can heal through the healing reduction debuff, Beet Cookie becomes a shockingly deadly boss killer, and Wizard Cookie can clear out mobs quite quickly. Better yet, if you're lucky, you can get multiples of this blessing in a single run. The only downside is that there are only seven Common cookies in the game, and none of their skills are particularly impressive — but with stat boosts like that, one might wonder if they really need skills.
