Although Wars of Light and Shadow is overall a serious series, discussing the realities of war and the quandaries of good and evil, it does contain its share of breather moments to keep the reader from having a nervous breakdown.

- Damaging the Great Waystone by turning Prime Selidie's tracking sigil for iyats against her, knowing she wouldn't be able to resist spying on him again.
