  • The Shockmaster. For weeks, a mystery man had been built up as the difference maker in a huge WCW feud. During the much-hyped reveal on Clash of the Champions XXIV, he plowed through the wall like the Kool-Aid Man after a bender and tripped over a two-by-four some stagehand nailed to its edgenote . The applause (and Ottman's career) ended right there, but the promo had barely started, so he had to recite the rest of his leaden diatribe (actually voiced by Ole Anderson). Then you get Ole cutting his promo, which he clearly comes in too late on, as you can see poor Shocker pointing and miming as if he's talking already. Flair and Davey Boy had to flee the set to keep from corpsing (but not before Davey Boy blurts out "He just fell flat on his fookin' arse!"), and if you watch the full segment on the network, when they come back to Jesse and Tony, they can't contain their laughter.
    • Sid is by far the best thing about this segment: Everyone else is just kinda frozen standing there, and Sid starts screaming and shaking like a psycho. Guy doesn't get enough credit.
    • According to Dusty Rhodes, "They almost had to take me to the hospital because I was laughing so hard."
"Dey gon' play dis clip fo' fitty years."
  • Everything involving Hulk Hogan vs. The Giant at Halloween Havoc '95. They had a "monster truck match", after which Hulk pushed The Giant off a building and into the sea, only for The Giant to stroll in the ring 10 minutes later. (He wasn't even wetnote .) There was also a mummy (referred to as a Yeti, pronounced "YET-AYYYY!") and a bunch of geeks named the "Dungeon of Doom", which is the quintessential "terrible 20 man run-in". The DoD promos are essential viewing, as well.
  • The infamous "Reviving Elbow". Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage are tagging against Kevin Sullivan and The Butcher, Butcher puts Hogan out with a sleeper and Savage, apparently with the finish to WrestleMania V still fresh on his mind, drops the big elbow on his own partner. Hogan immediately gets to his feet, Hulks up, and the babyfaces win. To this day it's debated if this counts as exposing the business.
  • Fans trying to rush the ring only to get their ass kicked by the referee was almost a Running Gag. Mark Curtis had the most notable one (best part is the commentators trashing the fan), but there's also video of Nick Patrick and Randy Anderson shooting on idiot marks out there if you dig around.
Bobby Heenan: The world's smallest referee just took him down! ... They're taking mister tough guy to the sneezer, maybe we should get him a pack of cigarettes so he can bribe the screws!
Tony Schiavone: Well fans, if you ever wanted to see evidence of why fans should not try and get in the ring, you just saw it right there.
  • Hogan in the nWo also gave us some golden moments. While best remembered for cementing the Monday Night Wars, the promo Hogan cut at Bash at the Beach 1996 was hilarious too, with Hogan having to keep lifting Mean Gene's arm, and the ECW smark applauding in the front row.
    • This sequence from WWE Countdown's "Biggest Backstabs" piece about Hogan's initial heel turn. (None of these even look like they're from WCW events!)
    • You could see some other fans going nuts too. Not just ECW guys, but the hardcore WCW audience that likely hated him in the 80's, were probably ecstatic to finally boo him in a situation that warranted it. On this day, Bobby Heenan became the ultimate face in pro wrestling as he was 100% percent right on Hogan being a liar and a traitor.
    • The heat Hogan had with the nWo was crazy. This old lady included.
  • Nick Patrick's bumps. They are hilarious. (Watch when he gets punched by Austin at Survivor Series '01; he sells the exact same way.)
  • Ladies and gentlemen, "HE GOTTA BAHCICLE".
  • People kept falling off the ramp, so much that it became a Botchamania meme. It's a scientific fact that everything they did after switching to that stage is cursed.
  • Tony Schiavone is most memorable when he's dragging the show. During the Hardcore Matches, he was amazing on commentary.
Schiavone: The horse with one of the biggest high spots of the night so far!
  • Goldberg's feud with Sid Vicious. Yes, the one with the car-crushing, from which the clip of Sid standing atop a flattened limousine in the intro of Botchamania comes from.
Sid: [standing atop the ruins of his limousine] GOLDBERG! GOOOOOOOOOLDBEEEEEERG!!!
  • Russo in the Popemobile, and Goldberg wrecking said Popemobile. It's like a Cole Mine on wheels!
  • New Blood Rising. So many moments to choose from, but perhaps the funniest is the announcer (read: Russo) trying to hype up Tank Abbott, "the only 3-Count mark in the world!" The very first thing you see is a dancing Tank Abbott outside of the ring. Pretty indicative of how bad it would get.
    • Apparently he hated the gimmick, but it was one of the few things that actually got him over with fans. He would dance, somebody would make fun of him, and he'd destroy them.
    • The opening match would be amazing if it wasn't for Abbott just standing around on the apron looking confused.
  • On an episode of Thunder, Kevin Nash served as a guest commentator. Botchamania put video of this into its 94th edition. (Nash is much more entertaining as a commentary guy than as a wrestler.)
(movie trailer voice) "Bill Goldberg, a bald-headed man with a tattoo. Who has only lost one time, to a fiercer warrior, Mister Kevin Nash!" (normal voice) "That's pretty good, ain't it—how I worked that in there?"
  • Nash had a few gems at the start of the nWo angle as well.
"So this is where the big boys play, huh? Look at the adjective: play!"
"Where's Savage, off doing another Slim Jim ad? Huh? Where's Hogan? Off doing another episode off Blunder in Paradise? We're here!"
"This show is about as interesting as Marge Schott reading excerpts from Mein Kampf!"
  • From Bash At The Beach 1998: Chavo Guerrero has a hair vs. hair match with his uncle Eddie, and decides before the match he'll wrestle Stevie Ray as a tune-up. Keep in mind Stevie is about twice as big as Chavo. Eddie Guerrero comes down after both Stevie Ray and Chavo have come out, which prompts Chavo to grab a mic and dedicate the match to Eddie. After some goofing off by Chavo, he offers a handshake to Stevie. Stevie accepts......only for Chavo to YELL out in pain, collapse to his knees, and immediately tap out. Bell rings, Stevie wins via submission, and after a couple moments, Chavo grabs the mic and says, "EDDIE! That was for you Eddie! I'm so tired.......I'm exhausted! I guess we're wrestling now, right?" Chavo's performance was hilarious, and even though he lost against Eddie, his reveal that the "tune-up" was a Batman Gambit SOLELY to get under Eddie's skin (it worked) can also qualify this as a Moment of Awesome.
  • Booker T unintentionally dropping the n-word during a heel promo against Hulk Hogan.
  • On an episode of Nitro, Tony Schiavone warned kids watching at home not to emulate any wrestling moves in their backyard, to which Bobby Heenan quipped "Do it in your living room, it's more fun!"
