  • "Better" starts with Watson receiving a telegram from an inspector requesting that he come to see to Holmes. Watson grouches that he probably hasn't slept or eaten in days without Watson there to nag him.
  • "Bragging": Watson notes that Holmes has a habit of not simply talking to himself, but instead having entire conversations with himself holding both sides.
  • "Blush": Holmes compliments one of Watson's stories (contrary to his usual comments about "romanticism") and warns Lestrade not to tell the doctor, oblivious to Watson entering the house during the conversation.
  • "Bachelorhood": Holmes walks in on a Mary/Watson kiss, much to his chagrin.
  • "Birthday": Apparently Watson first giving Holmes his iconic deerstalker didn't go smoothly at first.
  • "Bored": Holmes plays Annoying Younger Sibling to Mycroft at a Christmas party.
  • "Both": Mycroft overhears Sherlock and Watson challenging each other to some sort of scuffle. Given their recent injuries, he heads for the room to keep them from foolishly straining anything — and takes a pillow to the face.
  • "Barber": Holmes races into a barbershop for refuge from a gang and proceeds to make faces at them through the windows. Watson feels miffed because he got nicked when the barber flinched.
  • "Bruised": Holmes startles Watson with his indoor marksmanship practice and explains he's trying to learn to hit the target dead-on. When he sees Watson smile, he challenges him to do better.
  • "Bitter": Holmes describes being cornered in a weak condition by a sadist with a torture implement and tries to steel himself for the inevitable. Then the truth comes out:
"Honestly, Holmes, it's just a spoonful of cough syrup," he sighed in annoyance.
  • "Happy Birthday": Chaos ensues as Watson and the Irregulars try to put together a birthday party. It begins with Watson needing to keep the kids under control and out of the refreshments and ends with Alfie accidentally bringing down the drapes on himself and Watson. The last actually makes Holmes start laughing.
  • "Banshee": Watson pries out of Holmes that he got his tongue stuck to a pump handle as a child. Holmes grumpily explains that it was because Mycroft told him freezing would happen at a particular temperature, and he felt the need to test it, for a week, and got stuck when it finally worked.
  • "Bagpiper": Holmes assumes that Watson, being Scottish, knows how to play bagpipes and tries to talk him into playing them as a distraction on one of his cases. Watson is having none of it.
  • "Barber II": Holmes and Watson engage in written snark during one of Lestrade's lectures.
Do you suppose Lestrade is ever going to be done?
Perhaps he literally can't stop. Is that medically possible?
    Doubtful.
I believe I shall do a monograph on the subject. 'Upon the Various and Sundry Methods of Driving Consulting Detectives to Suicidal Madness -
That's no drive, it's a short putt in your case.
  • "Ensuing Battle": One of the Irregulars, Alfie, and his sister Eve break the sugar bowl while trying to retrieve it with a Human Ladder. Alfie tries to pin the blame on his sister...and gets smacked with a primer. The situation spirals from there, such that Watson gets out of the crossfire.
