Moments pages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned.

  • Willoughby going to arrest Mildred at her shop after the incident with her dentist, and her trying to deny it while her mouth is numb from novocaine.
  • Mildred driving a news broadcast after the billboards are burnt down, with the reporter citing how they are believed to be a reason for Willoughby's suicide:
Reporter: -and as sad as the spectacle of these burned out billboards might be, in light of the death of Chief Willoughby, this reporter, for one, wonders if this finally puts an end to the strange saga of the three billboards outside-
Mildred: (driving by; cutting her off mid-conclusion) This doesn't put an end to shit, ya fuckin' retard, this is just the fuckin' start! Why don't you put that on your Good Morning, Missouri fuckin' Wake Up broadcast, bitch? (speeds off; after a Beat, the reporter sheepishly makes a "cut" gesture to her cameraman)
  • Charlie encountering Mildred and James at the restaurant and admitting he lit her billboards on fire, but listening to Penelope when she told him "anger begets greater anger."
    James: Penelope said "begets"?
    • And when Mildred goes asking personally, Penelope says "it was on a bookmark. I'm reading a book on polio. Or is it polo? Which one has the horses?"
  • This exchange:
    Mildred: Hey fuckhead!
    Dixon: What?
Desk Sergeant: Dixon, don't say "what?" when she comes in here calling you a fuckhead!
    • And then she asks "You, get over here.", Dixon replies No, You, and thus she enters the police-only part of the station, making the desk sergeant even angrier.
  • Robbie is angry and refusing to talk to Mildred, so she throws a spoon of cereal on his head. This right before his father Charlie arrives, leading him to complain that "I'm being insulted by a boy with Rice Krispies in his hair!" And as the conversation gets heated, Charlie's young girlfriend Penelope comes in, with all her remarks being so dumb that they make the scene even funnier.
  • After Mildred delivers a "The Reason You Suck" Speech to the priest visiting her house, Robbie is clearly smiling, only to change his expression once he realizes the priest is seeing him.
  • "'You have a great cock, Willoughby.'" "Think I heard that before. Is that Shakespeare?" "Think it's Oscar Wilde."
  • There's something hilarious about Peter Dinklage, a classically-trained actor, getting the line, "No, no, I like holding ladders."
  • Regarding Dinklage, as he's having a date with Mildred and leaves for the bathroom, her ex comes by, and Snark-to-Snark Combat ensues:
Mildred: You got something to say to me?
Charlie: If I'd known, we could have double dated.
Mildred: Doesn't shit girl have a curfew weeknights?
Charlie: No, no, in fact I was actually gonna take her to the circus later, but there's no need now. Does he juggle?
Mildred: Look, I'm having one dinner with the guy cause he did me a favour, okay?
Charlie: You don't have to explain yourself to me cause you're having dinner with a midget, Mildred.
Mildred: I'm not explaining myself to you.
Charlie: You kinda are. Look, I didn't come over here to break your balls. You can date as many midgets as you want.
  • During an argument, Mildred and Angela call each other a cunt, then Robbie chimes in, getting a "HEY!" from both women. Immediately following that, this exchange:
Mildred: There'll be no more cunts in this house!
    Robbie: Why? Y'all moving out?
  • Dixon is dumb enough that he doesn't realize where a man with a superior officer, that was stationed in a foreign country - "hint: it is sandy" - actually was.
  • Once Mildred confesses on having burnt the police station with Dixon inside, he replies, "Who the hell else could it've been?"
  • After Dixon gets fired, he spends a good minute trying to find his badge. He finally admits that he lost it, probably when he threw Red out the window.
  • When Mildred, in her grief over the billboards getting burned, decides she's going to "crucify the motherfuckers", she acts out a conversation between her bunny slippers over it.
  • When Dixon is reading Willoughby's letter while, unbeknownst to him, Mildred firebombs the police station, he is told that he needs to learn how to detect things.
Willoughby's Letter: But things are gonna change for you... I can feel it.
Dixon: (is knocked over by an explosion of fire)
  • A meta one: during Frances McDormand's Golden Globe acceptance speech, the producers were apparently terrified of her infamous Sir Swears-a-Lot tendencies and blanked out her saying words such as "Fox" and "shift," while a "shite" actually got through.
