She Stole My Heart (and most of my valuables)
  • As it turns out, Eda knows both Ford and Stan. Why didn't she offer to use her portal to transport the former home? She assumed that they were each other's Alternate Self instead of twins. Though this also veers into a Tearjerker moment since it shows how close Ford was to making it home early.
  • Eda gleefully disgusting Luz and the twins by inferring to her and Stan's past romantic endeavors.
    • She refers to Soos as a "gopher-human hybrid", which he oddly seems to like.
  • Luz is confused when Stan and Ford fall into a petty argument, which Dipper and Mabel shrug off as her not getting since she's an only child.
  • When Dipper calls for Mabel, saying that Luz is back from the Demon Realm, Luz mentally notes that that's probably far from the weirdest sentence ever uttered in the Mystery Shack.
  • After Luz introduces Amity to the twins, Dipper immediately covers Mabel's mouth to muffle her shriek of joy. The shriek could still be heard through his hand.

The Girl Who Could Knock Out the Hulk
  • Kara lampshades Victor von Doom's Darkness Von Gothick Name, laughing that he might as well call himself "Evil Mc-Badguy".
  • Tony's reasoning for making Kara the Avengers' social media manager?
Tony: You’re fun, down to Earth, and most importantly, young enough to understand what the hell a 'Vine' is!
  • Tony invented a Freeze Ray while Kara was unconscious but gets into a debate with Lena over the name. He wants to call it a "Freon Beam", but Freon is copyrighted and a banned greenhouse gas besides.
  • Tony is not a fan of Strange's "cryptic bullshit", while the latter seems to be deliberately playing the cryptic nature of the revelations up just to mess with the former.
    • Tony also complains about how Strange isn't even British despite being so cryptic. It's especially funny when you remember that his MCU actor, Benedict Cumberbatch, is British.
  • Lena teases Clint a bit about his bow after Natasha says he's sensitive about it, asking if it's because it's a few centuries out of date. Clint promises that Lena will eat her words the next time Steve sets up a training exercise.
  • Kara is surprised to see Natasha casually eating some Fruit Loops while watching Thor unload the captive Vilgax. Just the image of someone like Black Widow casually eating cereal while unloading a crazed supervillain is a humorous one.
  • Steve ends up being mildly disappointed that the dwarves Thor tells him about aren't what he was expecting. Apparently Steve's something of a fantasy fan.
  • When Kara, Thor, and Bruce arrive in the Sanctum, the Cloak of Levitation waves "hi" to them.
  • Strange teleports the Avengers to his office to discuss Doctor Doom, leaving Nico behind in the foyer. A few minutes later, he brings Nico in to explain about the Giant War, evidently catching him in the middle of lunch, as he's holding a McNugget and a bottle of ketchup. He complains about Strange not making up his mind on whether to include him or not.
    • A little while after this, Strange returns the Avengers to the foyer and leaves Nico behind again; Kara is sure she can hear him sighing in annoyance. And when Strange teleports him in again a little while after that, Nico drops the nugget he's eating from being caught off guard, and declares that he hates Strange. One has to wonder if Strange is doing this just to be a troll.
  • Kara's confusion when Nico wanders off to look for a garden hose and later comes back slightly wet. The author's notes clarify that he needed the hose to create a spray so he could invoke Iris and use her to contact Annabeth, and leaves the humor of the mental image to the reader's imagination.
  • As Strange is explaining vampires, Ellie asks if they're anything like in Twilight. Strange has no idea what she's talking about.
    • When the topic shifts to werewolves, Ellie asks if they're hot. Strange trolls her by pretending to think she's talking about body heat.
  • At one point in her Black Mercy-induced illusion, Kara gets into an argument with Lena over whether Pluto is a planet.
  • Ellie comments that Strange's flowery descriptions of things make him sound like he's in a fantasy novel. Later, she comments on the goofy names of his spells, which Nico agrees with, saying they sound like off brand Magic: The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.
  • When Ellie asks how many "pharaoh dudes" (the Egyptian magicians aiding Doom's group) are left in the fight, Nico says five. Then one makes the mistake of attacking the Hulk and gets smacked across the room.
    Nico: ...make that four.
  • When Doom learns that Strange assumes that Doom is a Dimensional Traveler, he actually bursts out laughing, calling the Sorcerer Supreme "charmingly self-important". The original Reed snarks that he’s the pot calling the kettle black there.
  • Hecate deals with the Hulk by shrinking him, to the point where Ellie can cage him in her hands and he can't escape. Strange makes him large again... by casting a growth spell, not undoing the original one, noting that if he doesn't cancel said spell in time he'll end up hundreds of feet tall. The Hulk grins upon hearing this.
  • Kara notes that it's going to be really weird when she watches Hercules again after seeing and fighting the real deal.

    Changing of the Guard
  • A lot of what happens with Krabb:
    • Ben has a plan to defeat Krabb with Upgrade, but the Omnitrix turns him to Ripjaws...whose species evolved on the same planet as Krabb's and nearly drove them to extinction, besides being nearly blind and far from effective out of water. This makes Ben wonder if the watch is actively trying to get him killed.
    • He also mistakes Gwen as Ben's "mate"...even after Ben corrects him that they're cousins.
  • Claire doesn't like Toby's superhero name of "Shadowdancer" for her.
  • When Ben makes pop-culture references and human analogies regarding the Omnitrix, the Azmuth AI reminds him that he has no idea what any of those mean.
  • According to the Azmuth AI, the first alien that any user of the Omnitrix turns into is always Heatblast, even in universes where the species doesn't exist. He has no idea why. Even better is that [[Ben 10 (2016) the reboot showed that Ben's first alien there...was Four Arms.
  • Sixsix threatens a Taking You with Me moment. The other characters can tell that he's bluffing, and even complain that he couldn't have put a little effort into making it believable.
  • Toby bemoaning that with all the cool powers and weapons Ben and his friends get to have, he and Claire may have entered the superhero game a little too early.
  • Ben gets a bit miffed that he wasn't able to use Four Arms to help defeat Sixsix.
  • When confronted by SHIELD, Ben tries to lie about the Omnitrix being alien in nature, and not very well.
  • Despite everything going on with Vilgax attacking Arcadia, Ben still doesn't pass up a chance to tease Gwen about her feelings for Kevin after a Freudian Slip.
  • During the fight with Vilgax, Ben wonders why Diamondhead, a species of Nigh-Invulnerable living crystal, would need the ability to feel pain.
  • Hill and Coulson being left dumbfounded when Julie and Kevin casually mention the existence of the trolls.
  • Ben is a little embarrassed because one of the scanners on Vilgax's ship shows him in his birthday suit.
  • When Iron Man sees Gwen and mistakes her for a Vilgax drone, he jokes (due to Gwen's Anodite form being a naked woman with Barbie Doll Anatomy) that Vilgax wants to wipe them out because he was on the internet for more than five minutes.
  • Azmuth scans Kara's DNA, granting Ben a Kryptonian transformation... as Power Girl. Ben also complains about the Cleavage Window the suit comes with, and chides Azmuth about consent.
  • Azmuth reveals himself when Tony is around, seriously surprising and weirding the latter out a bit.
  • Ben and Julie playfully arguing over whether it's appropriate for her to ogle Ben's Power Girl form.
  • Claire gives Gwen a glamor pendant in order to hide her Anodite form until she can actually revert to her human appearance. She puts it on and it works, but to her, Claire, and Kevin's embarrassment, it doesn't do anything to replace her lost clothes.
  • Apparently no one can tell what the bulbous orange crystals on Vilgax's ship actually do, with Hala spending some time ranting a bit about it.

Just Another Day at the Office
  • Launch and her Split Personality are reinterpreted as a member of a species where everyone is a shared mind split between two bodies. Shepard is never sure which one she's supposed to talk to.
  • When Aleena sarcastically asks Moonstone if anyone has ever told her that the Diamonds are pretty messed up, Wrex reminds her that the Protheans basically created the main Asari religion. She blushes and admits it, saying that ancient races seem to have a fetish for messing with younger ones.
  • When explaining the Omnitrix to Shepard, Rook recites its description in such a mechanical, verbose way that it's clear he memorized all of it from a textbook. Max quickly follows behind with the layman's version.

    The Royal We
  • Admiral Sanda has never watched Star Wars, and thus misses a reference to the Death Star made by Hala. To reiterate, the Kree has apparently seen the movies, but the human hasn't.
  • Carol's amused approval of Abigail "sharing privileged government information all willy-nilly".
  • Dr. Animo's lame attempt at a We Will Meet Again parting line, which Ben notes just implies that he's going to lose again next time they fight.
  • When Aja is freaking out over thinking they killed Power Girl by hitting her with their crashing ship, Varvatos is more upset that her interference meant they didn't do more damage in their landing (on the grounds that this would make a better first impression to the humans).
Krel: I worry about you sometimes, Varvatos.
  • When Ben decides to stay as Power Girl to greet the Tarrons, so as to not freak them out from her sudden disappearance, Julie makes her blush by teasingly asking if she just wants to stay in the skin-tight leotard with a Cleavage Window for longer.
  • Ben and Aja shake hands as a sign of trust...and then the Omnitrix automatically scans Aja's DNA. Ben can only groan at how it's happening again.
    • Taking his new form, Ben instinctively goes to shout out its name... and instead declares just as loudly that he doesn't know what to call it, since normally he uses his Prime Universe counterpart's naming conventions, and said counterpart never had an Akiridion.
    • Then he briefly considers using "Lionize", as a pun on Akiridion ionic capabilities and how Aja is royalty, but doesn't really like it. Kevin also gets some snark in about how he didn't even know that Ben had that word in his vocabulary.
  • Varvatos jokingly pretends to think that televisions have actual humans trapped inside them.
  • Kevin is not a fan of Toby's suggestion for "Alien Force" as their team name, but gets outvoted, at least until everyone comes up with something better. Even Ship votes for it.

To Rule Alone, to Build Together
  • When Roger is Akumatized, he calls himself RoboCop (as opposed to "RogerCop" as in canon), causing Chloe to wonder if Hawkmoth doesn't care about copyright infringement. The author's notes for this chapter then clarifies that Hawkmoth is so cut off from society and culture that he doesn't even know those movies exist.
  • Queen Bee being rather weirded out by seeing Mister Bug and Lady Noire.
  • Chloe's first interaction with Plagg? He pops up in front of her, asks her where he can find some camembert, and then tells her that his holder wants to talk to her, all like it's an afterthought.
  • When Adrien catches Chloe smoking as a stress reliever, she quips that she's trying to fit the French stereotype.
  • Chloe making a quip about how the middle-class have budgets when talking with Marinette about the plans she and Ms. Bustier have for searching for the Guardians in Tibet.
  • When Chloe, Juleka, Ms. Bustier, Ladybug, and Cat Noir are coming up with a plan to figure out Hawk Moth's identity, they intentionally draw their nemesis in the most unflattering manner possible. Cat Noir even draws himself with, as Chloe puts it, "star-shaped anime murder eyes" about to hit Hawk Moth with a baseball bat from behind.
  • When Chloe sardonically asks if Ms. Bustier is absolutely sure that she isn't Hawk Moth, she gets a Fascinating Eyebrow and a quip about how bald caps aren't really her thing.
  • Whereas Chloe finds Princess Fragrance to be a Fashion-Victim Villain, Juleka admits with a blush that the outfit really does it for her.
  • When the Frenzied Queen Bee makes a jar of honey explode and traps Chat Noir (something that she didn't know that she could do) the part of Chloe not under the Akuma's influence mentally calls him a useless furry.

    Thanatos Scowled
  • Hades reportedly rather hates his Disney portrayal. Then again, considering how much it forwarded the mindset of him being the bad guy thanks to being Lord of the Underworld, he's got some good reasons to hate it.
  • Nico has a hard time wrapping his head around the idea of someone being "half-ghost". He also wonders what's up with Amity Park and "cartoonishly evil people" when he hears about Vlad.
  • It turns out that Danny's been in New York City for the last four years. Nico notes that Strange is likely to blow a gasket. Fury also tried to recruit Danny after the Chitauri invasion, which he conveniently forgot to mention to Strange.
    • Related to the above, Danny isn't too happy that Fury tried to recruit him by breaking into his house.
  • Nico casually revealing he was born in the 1930s, confusing first Valerie and later Sam.
  • When Ellie is asking Nico about the terminology for the different kinds of magic users, her asking him about magicians prompts him to joke that they're Egyptian, knowing that he'll be the only one to get it.

    Refusal of the Call
  • When Ellie wakes Nico up for a mission, Strange teleports the both of them down to the atrium rather than wait for Nico to get ready.
    • Then Strange magically changes Nico out of his pajamas and into his regular clothes, complete with cleaning him and brushing his teeth in the process. Ellie agrees with Nico's annoyance that it's a crossing of personal boundaries.
    • After Strange responds by complaining that Nico takes too long to get ready in the mornings, Wong dryly notes that Strange himself manually grooms his beard despite having magic for that.
  • Nico notes that the wallet portkey taking the group to Hogwarts looks like the cheap kind you get as a last minute Father's Day gift. After it's used, Wong decides to keep it, since he needs a new one and won't be getting one for Father's Day.
  • Harry allows some of her students to question the visitors. One asks Nico if Cerberus is fluffy, and he admits that surprisingly enough, he is.
  • When Nico makes some accurate guesses about Boggarts, not only does Harry jokingly give him five points, but they make five tiny black stone skulls fall onto his head. He vows to have petty revenge later.

    Vespa Major
  • Annabeth put a primer for the Greek/Roman magical worlds together so that Nico does not have to, as he puts it, "explain who he is and where he comes from all the damn time".

That Which Drives Nerds to Change the World
  • When Tony arrives at SFIT, he's wearing a shirt with an Erlenmeyer flask that says "If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the precipitate". Apparently Pepper likes to collect goofy science shirts.
  • After Tony dismisses the idea of the Iron Man statue outside a SFIT hall named after him by saying he doesn't need a monument to himself, Granville points out that the habit of sticking his name on the side of all his company's buildings contradicts that.
  • Tony pranks Krei by pretending to see a reporter with a Forbes press badge.
  • Hiro apparently accidentally put a hole in his garage's wall with the microbots while trying to swat a mosquito, something that Tadashi wastes no time snarking about.
  • When SFPD cybersecurity finds him poking around video evidence from the fire, JARVIS apparently very politely apologizes to them, something Granville mentions when she and Chief Cruz confront Tony about it.
  • After Tony offers to pay for Tadashi's recovery, Cass jokingly asks if the Avengers plan on lobbying for universal healthcare, and Tony replies that they aren't, though with the rise in supervillains they probably should. Cass then says that if Captain America ever runs for president on that platform, he has her vote.
  • Tony's reaction to Wasabi stopping at a red light when being chased by a supervillain, and Jarvis's snarky reply.

Close Encounters of the Gem Kind
  • When the Ruby that the Paladins accidentally took with them after their first encounter with the Gems regenerates onboard the Castle and freaks out at the unfamiliar surroundings, she starts running around in a blind panic, made worse when she somehow ends up in their invisible training maze and keeps running into the walls. The Paladins can only watch in bemusement before taking pity on her and shutting it down. Unfortunately, she picks that moment to try charging again and slams into a wall hard enough to make a Ruby-shaped dent.
  • Apparently the Collector actually does have great cosmic power, but he finds it boring to actually use it, so he'd rather set up a massive information network than use his abilities to learn things.
  • When Allura misses a reference to Princess Leia, Pidge notes that they have to give her and Coran a crash course in human pop culture.
  • Ruby's defection has caused her to switch her idolism of the Diamonds to Rose Quartz. Pidge is a bit concerned, but can't bring herself to mess with Ruby's enthusiasm.
    • This becomes funnier when one remembers that Rose Quartz is actually Pink Diamond, meaning that Ruby switched from idolizing the Diamonds to idolizing another Diamond without even knowing.

    Eternity in Promise
  • When the Voltron Lions appear, Adora's astonishment at the sight of giant robotic cats leads her to look at Catra and Melog. Apparently, Adora thinks all cats know each other, even giant robot ones.
  • Entrapta is just as excited as you would expect when she sees the technological marvels known as the Voltron Lions.
  • When Moonstone is recounting how humans spread across the galaxy after escaping from the Zoo, she notes that the escapees were rescued by Xandarians. Ruby, unfamiliar with organic reproduction, completely misses the implication that the humans and Xandarians interbred once they realized how compatible they were. Adora is left blushing from it because she got what Moonstone meant.
  • Despite having been out of the Horde for longer than Catra, Adora still uses Horde idioms, which Catra wastes no time snarking about.

From His Vantage Upon the Moon
  • Strange quietly noting the hypocrisy of Zeus approving of Thor putting his duty before personal pleasure.
  • Kassandra and Zagreus helping a young Loki prank Thor by using illusions to disguise the Spear of Leonidas as Mjolnir.
  • Shuri wanted to add a cape to T'Challa's Black Panther uniform and protested when he nixed the idea.
  • Okoye and T’Challa’s banter is comedy gold.
  • Upon greeting Winter, Cinder imitates Qrow's drawl just to annoy her.
  • When Fives sees all of the cool videogame stuff that the Glitch techs have at their disposal, he wonders if it's copyright infringement. Phil lampshades that he's showing him that he can gain Super-Speed from a Mushroom from Mario Kart and that's what he's concerned with.
  • Abigail full-naming Nora Wakeman just to drive in how frustrated she is with her.
  • Umino making a joke about how Pluto still has a Sailor Guardian despite not being considered a planet anymore.
