- One of the Beaconites is named Adonalsium-Will-Remember-Our-Plight-Eventually. He's referred to that way every time he's mentioned.
- The Greater Good mistake Nomad for a teenager. Even putting aside his immortality, his aging stopped when he was 38—in Rosharan years, so he's mid-forties by the galactic standard.
- Apparently all Rosharan food is considered heavily spiced by everyone else. Nomad complains that Beacon's "spicy" food is incredibly bland.
- Aux does a double-take when he realizes that some of the Beaconites are using "blessed" (ie, "get this blessed thing started") as a swear.Nomad: They're from a conservative religious culture, Aux. They work with what they have.
