• Sam's discussion with Turgon on the Hobbit-hole.
  Sam was indeed speaking very firmly to Turgon on the subject of what was and was not appropriate decoration for a Hobbit-hole. Turgon without so much as a flicker of a smile was insisting that he had never built anything which did not have at least three courtyards and a fountain and was not going to start now.
