  • The entire "Send more..." Running Gag.
  • Burt whacking Tarman's head off with a baseball bat. Also, counts as a Moment of Awesome.
  • In the original print of the film, Tarman's vocal delivery of "Brains!" (and later) "MORE brains!" was meant to be comedic due to his ridiculously high voice not matching his frightening outer appearance. Later prints, starting with the 2002 MGM DVD, incorporate a deep guttural voice that's a lot more menacing than funny.
  • The scene with the cadaver. There's a loud banging noise coming from behind the door where the cadaver is being held, as well as what sounds like someone screaming. So, filled with fear and curiosity, Frank, Freddy, and Burt open the door, and a screaming, bald, naked yellowish man runs out of the room and leaps onto Burt.
  • The immediate aftermath of Frank, Freddy, and Burt's attempt at disposing of the yellow cadaver. Cut to a scene of the corpse being held down, screaming and kicking with a pickaxe buried in its skull.
    • Frank's screaming throughout the entire sequence. You can tell Jimmy Karen was really enjoying this scene.
    • And this exchange once the cadaver has been subdued:
Burt: I thought you said that if we destroyed the brain, it would die!
Frank: It worked in the movie!
Burt: Well, it ain't working now, Frank!
Freddy: You mean the movie lied!?
  • Freddy screaming for Burt to destroy the cadaver's brain to which Burt counters he's already done that, Frank gives us this gem:
    Freddy: The brain! The brain!
Burt: I hit the fucking brain!
Frank: Then do something else, for goddamnit-to-hell's sake!
  • Frank in general due to his Cool Old Guy persona falling to pieces once things start going to hell. He spends so much time whining and screaming his head off in such an unmanly way afterward that Burt starts chiding him for.
Burt (while sawing off the cadaver's head): Be a man, Frank! Be a man!
Frank (on the brink of tears): I can't stand this, you son of a bitch!
  • Linnea Quigley's early deadpan dialog as Trash.
    "I like death."
  • Even funnier is when Trash starts tearing off her clothes, one of the guys says she's getting naked again, meaning she has this habit of spontaneously stripping in public places. Even funnier, they encourage it and ask for better light.
  • Burt's initial Blatant Lies about what they're trying to burn, claiming it's "rabid weasels". The best part is of hat Ernie totally buys it, but objects to incinerating them in the crematorium on the grounds that it is animal cruelty, and then offers to shoot them in the parking lot before burning them.
  • When seeing that one of the police vehicles is still running, the survivors get excited about that and Spider volunteers to drive. Burt asserts his authority saying he'll drive which Spider is non-too happy about.
    Spider: FUCK YOU!
  • Suicide's rant about being The Friend Nobody Likes while a naked Trash starts blatantly flirting with him, something he totally ignores.
  • Chuck's embarrassingly-clumsy efforts to charm Casey, and the brutally-blunt ways she smacks him down:
Chuck: I like death with sex. How about you, Casey, you like sex with death?
Casey: Yeah, so fuck off and die!
  • The way the Trioxin got loose in the first place.
Freddy: (looks at the Trioxin canisters) These things don't leak, do they.
Frank: Hell no! These things were made by the U.S. Army Core of Engineers! (Smacks a canister, causing the Trioxin to get loose and causing a Zombie Apocalypse)
  • Spider's exasperated "Where the fuck you going?! Help me block the door!! Stupid fuckers!" after running from Tarman.
  • Once the nuclear warhead explodes in the city and causes the obligatory mushroom cloud, the building directly to the left has one of it's windows light up, quickly followed by two windows in the building on the very edge of the frame following suit. Looks like a few people got one Hell of a 4th of July wakeup call!
