- When Shaggy, Daphne, and Scrappy pretend to forget Scooby's birthday, Scooby tries to remind them by dressing up like a baby. Shaggy jokingly misinterprets this as a reminder to have Scooby checked for rabies.
- The home movie of Scooby and Shaggy as babies running from a babysitter that looks like the Bride of Frankenstein.
- In a very early example of Lampshade Hanging in the series, Scooby recognizes that Velma and Fred have returned when he hears them say, respectively, "Jinkies!" and "Let's split up, gang!"
- "Scooby's Peep-Hole Pandemonium"
- When he and Shaggy are making a cake, Scooby opens a container of flour that has a vicious flower pop out. Scooby manages to placate the flower by tickling it, afterwards the flower kisses him.
- At the end of the episode, Norma Deathman reveals that the reason she hasn't aged these past 50 years is because she is a vampire. She also informs Scooby and the gang that she'd like to have them for dinner. Understandably, our heroes decide to get away from Deathman's house.
Shaggy: Like, from now on, Daphne, Scoob and I aren't ever interviewing anyone over the age of 5! - The Running Gag in "The Hand of Horror" where Pizza Louie keeps having to go back and get another pizza because of the remote control hand taking his pizza away or making him lose it.
