• Mr. Koreander doesn't like teenagers much.
  Mr. Koreander: The video arcade is down the street. Here we just sell small rectangular objects. They're called books. They require a little effort on your part, and make no bee-bee-bee-bee-beeps. On your way please.
• When Morla the Ancient One reveals herself to Atreyu, this causes Bastian to scream loudly, causing both Atreyu and Morla to react and wonder, "Huh?" Bastian then realizes this.
  Bastian: But that's impossible. They couldn't have heard me?
• When she isn't being selfish Morla is actually very funny.
  Atreyu: Do you have a cold?
  Morla the Ancient One: No, we are allergic to youth.
  • When Morla is about to sneeze again, Atreyu grabs onto the tree again. But she doesn't sneeze. So Atreyu lets go of the tree and tries to talk to her, then she sneezes for real.
  • And when Atreyu gets fed up: "If you don't help me, and the Nothing keeps coming, you'll die too! Both of you!" It's simultaneously awesome and funny.
• When Atreyu first meets Falcor:
  Falcor: I like children.
  Atreyu: (nervously) For breakfast?
• It's quite the Mood Whiplash to what happens once the Sphinx Gate opens its eyes, but as the knight hesitates in his approach, Engywook is quite the hilarious heckler.
  Engywook: This one certainly looks fancy! Let's see what he really thinks about himself... Go on, scaredy-cat! (cackles) ...Oh, go on!
• When the Childlike Empress reveals to Atreyu that the Earthling Child has been with him on his quest the whole time and is now listening to their whole conversation, Bastian gives the appropriate response when he realizes exactly who she's referring to.
  Bastian: WHAT?!
• In the German version of the film, when Atreyu asks if the Ivory Tower is still standing, Falcor snarks that if it isn't, he has no idea where they're going to land.
• The ending, when Bastian is riding with Falcor. While this part is very heartwarming, it's really hilarious when Bastian whispers into Falcor's ears what his next wish is, and Falcor laughs, and Bastian is smiling. They enter Bastian's real home world to get even with the bullies, who earlier in the movie, threw poor Bastian in a dumpster. Now, the bullies see Falcor flying towards them, while roaring hilariously, with a laughing Bastian. The camera angle is moving towards the bullies, showing how Falcor and Bastian see this, while they are throwing THEMSELVES into a dumpster!
