• The Golem sent shopping. Not only do the monster with a basket on his arm and the terrified reactions of the townspeople create a comic effect; it's also hard to watch the Golem holding the shopping list to the shopkeeper's face without mentally subtitling "This is a robbery".
• The fact that Miriam's pigtails are of such a ridiculous scale that they actually become a plot point.
